So far, so good! A lot of these hubs don��t last very long, especially when used in conjunction with my laptop stand. However, this appears to not only be very durable, but extremely flexible as well.

I got this because I needed an HDMI port that supports 4K 60Hz via my USB C Thunderbolt 4 on my new MSI Creator Z16 laptop. It does support 4K 60Hz so I'm happy with that. The USB A ports work just fine for my USB 2.0 peripherals like Logitech wireless mouse dongle, keyboard cable, etc. Did not test for speed transfers. It does get quite warm to the touch but it is aluminum and does not have a fan so it dissipates like a heat sink. The buzzing noise or coil whine is minimal and I can only hear it when it's very quiet in my room and when the laptop fan shuts off. I'm fine with it and keeping it since there aren't many cheap options with HDMI 4K @ 60Hz.

Seen some reviews mention coil whine and heat buildup. You're likely to get coil whine and worse if you exceed the 100w passthrough rating for this device. As for the heat, that's the device working as intended - it's a cheap solution, but the case is being used as a heatsink here. If the heat worries you, applying any kind of airflow will lower temperatures to comfortable levels. Overall, it does an okay job. If you're using video out and putting lots more data through it besides, it may drop signal briefly at higher resolutions. Honestly, I mostly bought this because it didn't have any reviews talking about fried laptops. Always a plus.
